    Beware of hidden charges!!
    Like many of the reviewers here, we were slapped with surcharges which we were unaware of.
    There's a 'premium location' surcharge that we later found out on the invoice. In no way was the car pick up point considered a 'premium location' as we had to hop on a shuttle bus that was 15 min away from the airport itself.
    We called up to complain however they avoided answering questions and refused to give us a refund. There was another surcharge possibly on processing the e-tolls, again we felt ripped off!!
    We never had any issues with Europcar Melbourne and we thought Sydney Europcar would be similar! But boy, were we wrong!! Never again!!

    Save your money and stress, hire your car else where!

    Booked a vehicle for my client via a travel agent platform. Booking was confirmed however client arrived at counter only to find it was closed. No missed calls, emails or any attempt to contact my client. Client ended up stranded and had to pay $400 for an airport hotel. Disgusting.

    Just wanted to say a big thank you to Amil (sorry I can’t recall her name but sounded something similar to above) for waiting for us as our flight was delayed and she had to stay back after closing to help us. It was very much appreciated and she was very friendly and helpful. Thanks for providing an outstanding service and for going way beyond to help me. I hope your great work is appreciated by your management team.

    I'm giving 5 stars because of the car a Ford pumma,wat a great little car lovely to drive and excellent on fuel!!! You cannot get hire cars from airport and they are saying it will be another 3years before they are back there you have to get a shuttle bus i wished flight centre new this!!!! I've had $40 taken out of account with no explanation as to why,we washed and vacuumed and filled up car and still haven't got my deposit back!!! Dave.

    Shocking service, called ahead to let them know my flight was delayed prior to arrival, as we would be arriving after close of business, they reassured me somebody would still be at the desk in the domestic Sydney terminal to assist me with my car hire, otherwise I would of made other arrangements prior to arrival.
    Travelling with my wife and 2 young children we arrived to an empty counter and no car, had to catch the last train to Wollongong where we were staying or forced to find accommodation late in Sydney 12 am, left high and dry and after hours customer service.AVOID

    Extremely misleading and deceptive service at Sydney. We pre-booked and were hit with 700AUD in hidden charges. On top of that, there was definitely some dodgy things happening with the pre-rental damage reports where they list them in a really misleading, confusing way and refuse to explain it. I was left totally in the dark and reluctantly accepted i may have been paranoid and should be more trusting. I was wrong! The day after we returned the vehicle there was another charge of 760AUD for something, no explanation just taken off the credit card. We didnt put even a tiny scratch on the car. Europcar in Sydney Airport is borderline criminal in whats happening there. You will most likely be exploited and charged massive fees. Avoid it at all costs. We rented at a cheaper rental company outside the terminal another time and were less ripped off with them.
